Children’s class 5-9 years

Our meetings will aim at exploring the personal world of the children and develop their creativity through the team’s dynamic. For this year, the masterpiece of Children Literature “Alice in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll will work as our motive for theatrical exercises, representations of scenes, role -playing and will give us material for the new adventures of Alice.

Teenagers’ class 14 to 17 years:

For this course, the teens team will work through text and movement, on improvised and structured actions that will be ‘tested’ in both internal and external – unconventional theatrical spaces.

A’ Adult’s class

The new class for adults aims at people with little or non-theatrical experience, with the aim of personal and artistic development. The course will use as a vehicle, tools of the art of theater and the story of George Vizyinou ‘The Sin of my Mother’.

Our emphasis will be on breathing, personal sounds, rhythm of speech, storytelling, group songs, as in body consciousness, the presence and movement in space, communication, action and physical narrative. During the course artists will be invited to visit the group and to share experience and knowledge.

B’ Adults Class

During this year, the oldest group of the program will deal with the history of Ariadne (Theseus / Minotaur / Labyrinth) through mythological narratives and using the Cypriot version of the myth and its connection to the present.

Participants will engage in research, collecting stories, text composition, creating personal narratives, as well as creating personal structure through physical actions. During the course, guests (authors, artists) will visit the group to share experience and knowledge.

Class for Professionals

“From Instinct to Method”. A six-month workshop of intensive exercise and practice on the basic tools of the performer. The professional’s class will run for the second year focusing on text (selected by the participants), on improvisation and development of personal actions aiming the buildup of a role-character.

The basic work on body and voice, will be used as the key to develop a personal potential on the expression. If we take all of our barriers out of this creative process, then will we be lead to a perfect performance? As improvisations are very important during the creation of our action on stage, will be developing consciously tools or “the actor’s instruments” in order to support our individual presence but also the teamwork onstage. Participation certificate will be given at the end of the workshop cycle.
