The people working at MITOS – Center of Performing Arts are a diverse and dedicated team of artists, researchers, educators, and cultural workers united by a shared commitment to innovation, social impact, and artistic excellence. Under the artistic direction of Elena Agathokleous, the team drives the vision of MITOS forward with passion and persistence, crafting a bold and inclusive programme that speaks to local and international audiences alike.
FOUNDERS
Elena Agathokleous
performer, actress & director
Elena Agathokleous was born in Limassol, Cyprus. She is a performer and actress, whose work mainly focuses on directing and dramaturgy in the field of performance and performing arts. She is the co-founder and director of MITOS Center of Performing Arts and the arts venue The Old Vinegar Factory located in Limassol. Elena is the curator of various programmes, developing multidisciplinary and interartistic collaborations in Cyprus and abroad. She is the coordinator of community-based projects and European programmes, the artistic curator of theYard.Residency programme, as well as of multiple festivals. She is also a drama teacher, production manager of theatre-based and other projects implemented by MITOS, as well as the editor of the books published by MITOS. Her artistic practice is mainly centred around the contemporary reception and performability out of the need for new narratives: on identity, legacy, mortality and gender issues. Within the same spirit, Elena continues her research on the ancient Greek tragedy while developing a series of contemporary-reading performances. Elena is a mother of two boys.

THE TEAM
Costantina Peter
dramaturg , multimedia & video artist
Constantina Peter, of Indian origin, was born in Limassol, Cyprus. She is a theatre expert, dramaturg and drama teacher whose interest focuses on multimedia and video. Since 2013 she has been a key member of MITOS Centre for Performing Arts, both as a member of the creative team, as well as of the production team.
She is a graduate of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens - Department of Theatre Studies, also holding an MA in Contemporary Drama and Dance from Utrecht University. In theatre production, her first professional collaborations began in Brussels at the art laboratory Bains Connective. As a dramaturg, she has collaborated with theatre companies and directors on independent productions for festivals and other projects. Her personal audiovisual projects have participated in local and international events. She has also created videos, mapping projects and visuals in collaboration with Christos Georgiou for several MITOS productions. As a drama teacher, she regularly works with groups of children and teenagers (at public secondary education schools and giving weekly classes at the Old Vinegar Factory), in addition to being a guest teacher of Dramatology at V. Kafkarides Drama School. Constantina is a mother of one boy.
