MITOS presents The Neighborhood of Cine Volos Festival
4-9 November 2025
The Center of Performing Arts MITOS presents the second edition of The Neighborhood of Cine Volos Festival, a socially engaged initiative that aspires to create a model of participatory practice and social cohesion.
Its central theme, “The neighbourhood as a living archive,” is explored through the lenses of intergenerational relations, multiculturalism, gender identity, and the absence of Turkish Cypriot voices. By activating collaborations with local residents and organisations, MITOS presents an interdisciplinary programme that highlights the collective memory and vibrant cultural energy of the Cine Volos neighbourhood. Through workshops, hybrid events and partnerships with local bodies, schools and artists, the festival cultivates a sense of belonging, care and collective creation, transforming everyday neighbourhood spaces into places of artistic exchange and shared experience.
