three solo performances

new production by Center of Performance Arts MITOS

The director and performer Lukasz Walewski after the succesful performance “Ship of Fools”, which took place as part of the european program “Songs of my Neighbours”, continues the collaboration with dramaturge Constantina Peter, specificing on human maters concerning the environment and the place – space of human dreams in reality, through the project Triptych.

Triptych will be a series of solo performances, concerning the human environment and the personal growth. It negotiates thematics through a non realistic relationship with situations that occupy the human being and his subconscious thoughts.

The performances are in continuation and in relation of one another. H2011 presents the relationship of human being with the environment, H4WHAT presents the human in relation with his dreams, and the third part H4NOTHING shows the human in his final attempt to make his dreams a reality or even to manage his life inside different social boundaries.

H2011

Triptych will start with an altered version of the performance H2011, which was first presented during NO- BODY, festival of performing arts (Nicosia- November 2011).

 

A visual performance,

negotiating human emotionality and its tendency to forget about it.

The first version of the work, has been made in 2011 when the level of water in damns of Cyprus was extremely low. It is a comment for dried earth and in the same time an image of a human searching for his sensibility and need for “higher” state of soul,

or maybe it is about our need to reach somewhere high in our personal and global evolution, touching the subject of relations which are everywhere

and how much we are connected to our environment

and how far we can forget or be senseless  for these relations..

or maybe it speaks about human cruelty

and the fact that in our modern society we are passing a lot of cruelness

and we don’t feel not more compassion, either we are touched by it,

and maybe this is what brings us to the first thought of dried earth of the soil that cannot give life any longer…

maybe there is a chance that water could heal it, as its a source for life, our life….
